this research explores the manipulation of biomedical big data and diseases detection using automated computing mechanisms. As efficient and cost effective way to discover disease and drug is important for a society so computer aided automated system is a must. This paper aims to understand the importance of computer aided automated system among the people. The analysis result from collected da...
متن کاملThe Development of Object Function and Manipulation Knowledge: Evidence from a Semantic Priming Study
Object semantics include object function and manipulation knowledge. Function knowledge refers to the goal attainable by using an object (e.g., the function of a key is to open or close a door) while manipulation knowledge refers to gestures one has to execute to use an object appropriately (e.g., a key is held between the thumb and the index, inserted into the door lock and then turned). To da...
متن کاملFacilitation of Function and Manipulation Knowledge of Tools Using Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS)
Using a variety of tools is a common and essential component of modern human life. Patients with brain damage or neurological disorders frequently have cognitive deficits in their recognition and manipulation of tools. In this study, we focused on improving tool-related cognition using transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS). Converging evidence from neuropsychology, neuroimaging and non...
متن کاملImpaired access to manipulation features in Apraxia: evidence from eyetracking and semantic judgment tasks.
Apraxic patients are known for deficits in producing and comprehending skilled movements. Two experiments tested their implicit and explicit knowledge about manipulable objects in order to examine whether such deficits accompany impairment in the conceptual representation of manipulation features. An eyetracking method was used to test implicit knowledge (Experiment 1): participants viewed a vi...
متن کاملMagnetic resonance-compatible robotic and mechatronics systems for image-guided interventions and rehabilitation: a review study.
The continuous technological progress of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), as well as its widespread clinical use as a highly sensitive tool in diagnostics and advanced brain research, has brought a high demand for the development of magnetic resonance (MR)-compatible robotic/mechatronic systems. Revolutionary robots guided by real-time three-dimensional (3-D)-MRI allow reliable and precise min...
